CALL FOR ENTRIES: Filme über Musik bei SEE THE SOUND / Preis für beste Musikdoku (for English version see below) SEE THE SOUND (09.06. – 13.06.2021), das Filmfestival von SoundTrack_Cologne, lädt ab sofort alle Filmschaffenden, Produzent*innen und Vertriebe ein, Filme mit musikalischem Schwerpunkt einzureichen. SEE THE SOUND widmet sich genreübergreifend allen Formen der Begegnung von bewegtem Bild und Musik und Ton. Eingereicht werden können Musikdokumentarfilme und Spielfilme mit musikalischem Schwerpunkt wie Konzertdokumentationen, Komponistenportraits, Bandportraits oder Musikvideos. SoundTrack_Cologne hat sich seit seiner Entstehung mit seinem Festival- und Kongressprogramm zur führenden europäischen Plattform für Musik und Ton in Film, Games, TV und Medien entwickelt. Mit SEE THE SOUND bietet SoundTrack_Cologne außergewöhnlichen Musikfilmen die Möglichkeit, auf großer Leinwand zu laufen. SEE THE SOUND zeichnet die beste Musikdokumentation aus! Des Weiteren wird nun zum achten Mal bei SEE THE SOUND der Preis für die Beste Musikdokumentation vergeben. Der Preis ist mit 2.500 Euro dotiert. Einreichkritierien Eingereicht werden können Filme, die 2020 oder 2021 produziert wurden oder nach dem 1. Januar 2020 ihre Premiere feierten. Berücksichtigt werden Filme in den Vorführformaten BluRay-Disc (bevorzugt), DCP (bevorzugt) und DVD, Musikvideos auch als quicktime.mov. Es gibt keine Beschränkungen bezogen auf das Produktionsland. Als Einreichungsform der Sichtungskopien werden Online-Screener bevorzugt. DVD-Einsendungen werden ebenfalls akzeptiert. Einsendeschluss ist der 15. März 2021. SEE THE SOUND is dedicated to all forms of motion pictures, that visualise music and sound. Music documentaries and feature films with focus on music like biopics about musicians or bands, documentaries about concerts, portraits of composers, portraits of bands or music videos may be submitted. Since its inception, SoundTrack_Cologne grew as a festival and conference program into Europes leading platform for music and sound in film, games, TV and multimedia in general. With SEE THE SOUND SoundTrack_Cologne offers a platform to outstanding films about music to be presented on the big screen. SEE THE SOUND honors the Best Music Documentary! Furthermore, the prize for the Best Music Documentary will be awarded at SEE THE SOUND for the seventh time. The prize winner will receive 2,500 euros. Submission criteria Films and music videos whose production was completed in 2020 or 2021, and/or premiered after January 1, 2020 are eligible for submission. Films may be formatted as BluRay (preferred), DCP (preferred), or DVD. Music videos formatted as Quicktime movies will also be considered. There are no restrictions regarding the country of production. Online screeners as preview copies are preferred. DVD submissions are also accepted. Submission ends March 15, 2021.
